Benchmark Foam Acquires ICF Component Company Gorilla Buck, Inc.
In August, Benchmark Foam acquired Gorilla Buck, Inc., a window and door buck product line company that supplements ICF insulated concrete forms construction. Gorilla Buck products are insulated wall and door opening components that control water and air infiltration and ease the installation process. Also included in the transfer is Vbuck, a similar buck system that is made of vinyl, rather than expanded polystyrene (EPS).
The addition of Gorilla Buck fits into the Benchmark Foam existing product lines that offer superior quality and energy efficiency. The transition proved seamless as Benchmark Foam is already fulfilling orders for Gorilla Buck customers without delay.
Part of the acquisition announces the appointment of Bob Johnson as President of Benchmark Foam. Johnson previously owned Gorilla Buck and its assets. Johnson replaces Tom Devine, Benchmark Foam’s current chairman of the board, whose impending retirement is expected by yearend.
“We welcome Bob’s industry experience and leadership to our organization,” said Devine. “His background suits our company goals very well.”
Johnson will be responsible for the strategic planning and growth of the company while overseeing all operations including sales, marketing, manufacturing, accounting and continued quality.
