Benchmark Foam Walks the Walk, Talks the Talk
Benchmark Foam Uses own Products on Addition to its Watertown, South Dakota Facility
Most sub-slab projects are specified to use any rigid polystyrene insulation – and from that description, contractors often pay more for pink extruded polystyrene (XPS) because it is widely accessible – and sometimes even recommended, in big box stores. While XPS is a suitable candidate for sub-slab applications, Benchmark Foam is educating the industry on how to receive the same properties, but for less money. High density expanded polystyrene (EPS) from Benchmark Foam offers comparable benefits to XPS, but always at a lower price.
High density expanded polystyrene (EPS) from Benchmark has been used as sub-slab and perimeter insulation for decades. EPS achieves the required compressive strengths for beneath concrete, while offering a similar R-Value.
Benchmark is so confident in our high density EPS that we’re using it in several applications of the new 20,000-sq.ft. addition to our production facility. The concrete crew that poured the foundation walls was so impressed with the custom-cut perimeter EPS insulation, they wished all jobsites were that quick and easy to install. All the crew had to do was specify the dimensions of the foundation wall and Benchmark delivered exactly what was required – no on-the-job modifications required.
When you choose high density EPS from Benchmark Foam, you can specify exactly what your project requires and enjoy a smooth and cost-effective installation.
