When Brushmarks Signs of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota made the call, Signs By Benchmark (a division of Benchmark Foam, Inc.) stood ready to create a large lightweight, exterior wall-mount cellular plastic sign. The fact that design called for both lettering and a large three dimensional logo only made the job more interesting for the Signs By Benchmark team.

Brushmark's customer, BTD Manufacturing of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, had recently undergone identity revisions that included a new cube-shaped logo to aptly represent their line of fabricated metal products. Incorporating the logo was a priority for Brushmark's designers.

"We chose Signs By Benchmark because we wanted a large, 3D cube that would be lightweight for mounting purposes," said Mark Olsen of Brushmarks.

The 122" x 106" cube projects 40" from the structure's exterior wall, enhancing visibility and the 52" high letters mounted below.

"The install went very well," said Olsen. "Signs By Benchmark provided us with an entire system that included the cube and a steel mounting frame. We installed the frame, then simply slid the cube into place."

The result of this collaborative project was a very satisfied end customer.

"They were amazed," said Olsen. "They really like how 3D the sign looks."
